Scenario

What follows is a world of even deeper intrigue and deception, with characters fighting their own battles and wrestling with existential threats to the nation and the world. Former CIA head of counterintelligence James Jesus Angleton, also known as the “poet-spy,” described the intelligence game as a “wilderness of mirrors,” a phrase borrowed from a T.S. Eliot poem called Gerontion (the title is Greek for “little old man,” and the poem is an interior monologue that gives the opinions and impressions of an elderly man, describing post-World War I Europe through the eyes of a man who spent most of his life in the 19th century).

In the world of intelligence, in the search for truth, it is difficult to distinguish between reality and its reflection, an illusion if you will, as if you were in a “hall of mirrors”. Blake, the acronym “OBE” is incorrectly explained as “Overtaken By Events”. It’s not the best spy series I’ve seen, but it’s definitely worth watching.

The two are incredibly underrated actors

Michael Fassbender is perfect for such roles, as is Jeffery Wright. With Richard Gere and Katherine Waterston, you have one of the most talented casts on television. The show may start slow for some, but stick with it because it picks up speed. It just needs time to build its world and characters, but if you don’t have the patience for slow, well-told shows, this isn’t for you.

I hope we get more seasons of it

The Agency does a great job of showing the amount of money and sacrifice that goes into this profession.
