When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford to join the show, Segel said that Goldstein initially wanted “a Harrison Ford type” and intended to cast people who looked like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they should at least introduce him to Ford, thinking he would immediately turn it down, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had been introduced to the project, sparking interest from other big-name actors.
Eventually, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold him the role
Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was still elated.. Featured on WatchMojo: The 10 Best TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023). Two episodes out now and this show is promising, the chemistry between the characters is infectious and sometimes even weird… it’s heartwarming in a way that most shows aren’t, reminiscent of the show’s community solely because of these elements.
Harrison Ford plays Dr
. I’m not sure if this is exactly how a therapist deals with issues, but it certainly gives Jason Segel a place to come to terms with it. Rhodes, Jason’s boss and mentor. I wasn’t sure how his character would work in this series, but Rhodes’ antisocial likeness certainly plays into the personality Ford encounters.
And the music in this show is so good
pretty good, when you think about the more scary elements of his character Han Solo in Star Wars, it just fits this show. Somehow too similar, Sean (Luke Tennie) plays a kind of son figure to Jimmy (Segel) while he deals with his family issues with his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell)… What I see here seems so vivid and the possibilities are maybe (?) endless as I see Jimmy navigating these things. Btw, the opening theme of this show is so good that I didn’t even miss it while watching episode 2…
Overall, this is an amazing show and I hope it only gets better from here

Scenario
Series adaptation of James Patterson novels about the complicated and brilliant detective, Alex Cross
Hodge is the third actor to portray Cross, following in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman, who first played him onscreen in 1997’s Kiss the Girls and again in the 2001 movie sequel Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry as the titular character in 2012’s Alex Cross, which bombed at the box office and led Lionsgate to scrap the preplanned sequel Double Cross.. When I drove a truck I chewed up a lot of highway listening to James Pattersons Alix Cross, but I do not recall the story or stories this was made from.
None the less
In fact I think I was into his years where he was working with the feds instead of the city police department. That detective Cross did seem different from what I remembered.
This series had one major flaw for me
They seemed to run too many stories together. It was confusing at times to see the connections.
Other people here remarked how Morgan Freeman’s rendition of Cross differed
On top of that the main evil man was almost a supervillain because of how well he was set up to get to anyone at any time. I agree, and I too would like to see this Cross actually act smarter most of the time instead of just in spurts.

This maintained the first person narrative by showing Claire’s inability to understand Gaelic.
The opening song changes from season to season to reflect what’s happening in the story line
This idea was suggested by producer David Brown, who said he’s seen something similar in Skin Deep (1998), a foreign alternative movie starring the actor and singer Gustavo Goulart.. In a few episodes, characters say "OK." ; An American term that didn’t come into use until the 19th Century.. In the first half of Season 2 (which is set in France), part of the lyrics are in French. In the second half of Season 2 (which is mostly about preparing for war), there is a militaristic drum roll added to the opening song.

During Season 3, there are tribal drums added because much of the season is set in the West Indies. In Season 4, bluegrass fiddle and banjos are added, plus some of the lyrics are sung with a Southern accent because the season is set Mostly in America. The Skye Boat Song(uncredited)Traditional Scottish air with lyrics by Sir Harold BoultonNew lyrics by Robert Louis Stevenson. Outlander was so much better than I expected it to be.
It’s much more than just another love story
I just got caught up through the latest season and floored by how much I enjoyed it. It is so well written and acted that you really come to care for these characters and what happens to them. It’s also beautifully shot, everything from the cinematography to the costumes are excellent. The overall production value is as good as anything on TV.
If you haven’t seen this yet then do yourself a favor and go watch as soon as possible!
I do have to say the last few seasons weren’t quite as good as the earlier ones but they’re still worth watching.
