Scenario
Four turbulent decades during the Troubles in Northern Ireland
The real-life Dolours Price was married for two decades (1983-2003) to Irish actor Stephen Rea. During that time, Rea appeared in the film for which she is probably best known in the United States: the 1992 romantic thriller The Crying Game.
This is perhaps the best piece of media I have ever seen!
In that film, Rea plays Fergus, an extremely reluctant and ambivalent member of the Irish Republican Army (IRA) – the same organization that Price was involved with for many years. It is a masterpiece of storytelling and direction, with character development that is wonderfully crafted and filmed.
I would give this six stars if I could
I grew up in Northern Ireland during the ‘Troubles’; I can attest that the imagery, the brutality and the pain are all very real. The acting is excellent, and the director should be given full credit for turning an incredible storybook into a cinematic masterpiece!
It’s truly a must-see!
It ranks right up there with Breaking Bad and The Shawshank Redemption. It had me in tears several times, and by the end of it I had to leave my house around midnight and drive around town just to calm down from the emotional impact.

Scenario
A modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of West Texas oil rigs.. See writer/director Taylor Sheridan's most popular movies and TV series on IMDb, ranked by user rating.. Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore filmed some of their scenes in Weatherford, Texas in May of 2024..
They're well written and entertaining
I apparently am a sucker for Taylor Sheridan shows. I'd gladly watch anything with his make attached to it at this point. But what's with the girl in her underwear and the creepy sexualization of her?
It's grossly gratuitous
It's extremely weird how obnoxious she is with it. It's almost that much of a turn off to not want to watch. I AM invested in the story tho so far.
The ex wife is just ugggh
I'm also not getting why the woman are so utterly unlikeable. It's truly a head scratcher. Is the show just geared towards drawing men?
Love Billy Bob tho
He's always plus.

Special Ops: Lioness had me hooked from the very first episode.
I would watch this series if I knew nothing more than Sheridan created it
This is the next great series by the mastermind of Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, 1923, 1883, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, etc).
While this isn't the best show from Sheridan, it's still very entertaining and worth watching
Then add in the fact of all the star power starring in it…Zoe Saldana, Morgan Freeman, Nicole Kidman, Michael Kelly, Laysla De Oliveira, etc.
Yes, some of it's unbelievable but if you can just turn your brain off and enjoy it for what it is you'll have a good time watching this
The only negative so far is that you have to wait a week between episodes, I like it better when they release the whole season at one time so you can binge it.
