The film was shot on location on the historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like that year round
Scenario
Alana Higman, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan and her family are competing to win the team's Fan of the Year contest, in a process judged by the director of fan engagement Derrick.. Get your fill of happily-ever -afters with this year's lineup of holiday-themed romantic movies to watch from the comfort of home.. The locations that served as the Higman family's store and Norma and Nick's BBQ restaurant are family owned shops in real life too.
The family even runs a Chiefs shop in their hometown
The Square also does a Christmas lighting like the one in the film.. Alana Higman (Hunter King) is a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan. Her parents met as kids with their families sitting next to each other at the games.
The corporate world calls this synergy
They are up for the Fan of the Year contest. Director of fan engagement Derrick (Tyler Hynes) is doing the assessment. There is a magic hat.The most compelling relationship in this movie is the one between Hallmark and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The players should want that too
I expected more current Kansas City Chiefs. I was expecting a few high profile players to run into our couple. As for the couple, I have always liked Hunter King's comedic timing and Tyler Hynes seems perfectly fine although they could try for Niall Cunningham.
I guess everybody needs a paycheck
There are surprisingly a lot of familiar faces in the other roles. This is fine Hallmark and maybe more synergy to come.

Whether they are exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about
Scenario
Two Harkonnen sisters combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit..
This series uses material from the Great Schools of Dune trilogy, by Brian Herbert and Kevin J
Anderson.
The incident with Valya Harkonnen using voice is from one called 'Mentats of Dune'
A prequel to the original Dune, it tells how the Sisterhood of Rossak evolved into the Bene Gesserit.
Referenced in AniMat's Crazy Cartoon Cast: The New Normal (2020)
All three books interweave the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators and the Suk Doctors..
Honestly, the whole time I was watching the show, I got the feeling that it belongs to be aired on the SyFy channelI have heard that to really understand this series you need to read the book so maybe that's the reason the story just didn't seem rich, nor captivating (as I found myself distracted by everything around me and that happens when my attention is lost)Although you can tell the production value was large, it just doesn't seem like it belongs on MAX, especially with their other huge hitsUnfortunately, I think this goes in the category of recent shows like the Rings of Power (which I would argue is actually better)

Lots of nice and intriguing ideas
Scenario
Three women in an apartment in Marseille are stuck in a heatwave. They find themselves trapped in a terrifying affair and long for freedom. Saw this at the 2024 Ghent Film Festival. Yet so many annoying elements make this film a less than perfect experience. The controversial reviews I’ve read are understandable and a logical consequence.
Naked bodies, half or fully undressed, aren’t a problem either
One of the annoying things is that I have a vague idea that the story is trying to teach us how to deal with women, if they say no, it means no, but we already get that and it doesn’t need introducing. Other annoying examples are that the three female protagonists act messily and counterproductively while trying to clean up the traces of a crime, hopefully not with the intention of exposing this as typically female. All these annoying parts overshadow the serious moments in this film. As a seasoned horror lover, I don’t mind the blood, the screaming, or the severed body parts (and the dangerous hardware that does that). Keep in mind that we see a lot of nudity in various stages of undress (is there such a word??), both indoors and in public.
This story, however, is just a side dish
To me, it’s all just decoration that doesn’t add much and unfortunately obscures the good parts of the film, the very original plot and the perfect acting of the main protagonists. Most of the characters that appear in this film are a bit vague in what they do and who they are. The only people who are clearly defined are the couple at the beginning, where a man complains about his wife, after which she takes drastic measures and later tells that her husband tripped and fell into a shovel. We have to wait until the end to see that the police escort her in handcuffs, most likely not fully believing the explanation for her husband’s death. The main part of the film is the interaction between three women on one side of the street and a handsome man on the other.
And they must deal with concerned neighbors who suspect something is wrong
Unlike the straightforward story with the aforementioned couple and the deadly shovel, it is impossible to give even an idea of the many complications that arise from the three ladies’ visit to the apartment opposite. One of the women stays with him, probably in anticipation of a merry pajama party, but the rest of the story is completely different and unexpected, as well as unprecedented. Bloody remains must be cleaned up, not an everyday task for people like you and me who have no experience with crime. And to top it all off, ghostly figures appear that are not visible to everyone, which complicates things even more. I can only give you a few hints, namely that this story is very unusual, offers very original plot elements and gives us unpredictable turns of events.
All in all, a lot of original ideas, some even intriguing
But some negative elements, perhaps just for me and me alone, make this film a somewhat successful film. It is not a traditional horror that relies on atmosphere or scary situations. There is blood, severed body parts and ghostly figures, but it still becomes a different kind of horror where there is also room for humor.

This is the third time Fassbender and Waterson have worked together
Scenario
What follows is an even deeper world of intrigue and subterfuge, with heroes fighting their own battles as they grapple with existential threats to the nation and the world. At the Cotton Club, check out the TV and movie roles of “The Agency” starring Michael Fassbender, Jodie Turner-Smith, Richard Gere, and more. Both have starred in Steve Jobs, Alien: Covenant, and The Agency.
Blake, the acronym “OBE” is introduced
During Martian’s dialogue in discussion with Dr. is incorrectly explained as “Preceded by Events.” Across U.S. government agencies, including those in the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense, the correct/official explanation for the acronym “OBE” is the same.
is “Overcome By Events”
Starring Graham Norton and guests: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024). Ogletree gets some great lines, delivered in an individual way that’s almost as delicious as Bosco chewing out his subordinates. This is heavy acting, this isn’t some silly Felicity farce, this is Slow Horses meets The Day of the Jackal.
Then comes the romance
At one point, it’s a visual delight like a music video with creepy camerawork and expertly framed shots. Then comes the action. Then comes the comedy when Bosko flips the bird.
I can never get enough of it
Like the previous Homeland series, this one takes the cake for foreign adaptations. Where High Potential is nothing more than a network TV formula, this is the juicy content you sign up for on cable.
